The par-72 golf course is widely regarded as one of the best in Lisbon with an excellent technical layout, with a great variety of holes that demand both skill and tactical play. The course measures 6,977 yards, and provides outstanding views of the surrounding Carregueira Mountains. Belas itself can be viewed in two distinct sections; the opening stretch traverses the natural, unspoiled landscape, while the closing holes are cut through the stunning villas of the residential development.
The delightful course will be a challenge for every visitor, while it remains playable for the average golfer, and is an ideal destination for a round during your golfing holiday in the greater Lisbon area.

Course has an opportunity to be very good but quality of bunkers, pitch marks on greens, divots on fairways not replaced. It Felt unloved. But enjoyed the different types of holes it had to offer.

Buggies highly recommended as a number of 'journeys' between holes. Course has some excellent holes that are well designed and enjoyable.

Definitely need a buggy. Lovely course, good greens. Another course I would play again.

This course was the furthest away from the hotel and we found the hardest as the grass was the longest.

Too slow. Do not put 16 Japanese golfers on a course and expect to get round in less than 6 hours. Driving Tange opened just after we teed off No beer left in clubhouse

Greens were well sanded and very quick.

First of all, their had been rain overnight which made the course sodden. This is not the fault of the course obviously. However, the general condition overall was poor. Lots of bare patches around tees and fairways. Mole hills on fairways. Some bunkers didn't look like they'd seen a rake for sometime. Lots of weed grass all around the course. The course has a great lay out with some memorable holes but the overall conditions let this place down. Greens were ok. Clubhouse ok.

Weather had been wet so the rough was very difficult to play from, some interesting holes course buggy path need a bit of work in places

Course was good but quite a bit of work going to n and many holes affected by mole hills

Having played the course a few years ago I was really looking forward to it but I was really let down by the condition of the course. There was a lot of muddy/brown areas either on or along the sides of the fairways. The bunkers had heavy rough around the edges which stop the ball going into the bunkers but ultimately meant you hacked your second shot out the deep rough into the bunkers. A bunker is a hazard, no need to make it a two-shot hazard. There are some beautiful on the course, particularly on the back nine out where it appears to be in the middle of nowhere apart from gorse, the holes are long and challenging.

Great course but needed a bit of TLC on a few tees and fairways. We walked the course with trolleys as we don’t really like buggies but the back 9 in particular had a few steep and long climbs between holes. Definitely would be happy to play again.

High quality design. Very varied, wonderful setting. Condition of tees and fairways a bit below expectations. No time to visit clubhouse after but looked excellent.

The course in general was in good condition. The fairways were a little sparse in places with lots of mole holes. The greens were very fast with some challenging pin placements. Still a very enjoyable round.

Another enjoyable course. Tee time was put back by 40 minutes because of a big group ahead of us which made the round slow, although they did reduce the cost of buggies because of this. Would recommend all courses we played. Thanks to Matt who put the trip together for us. Definitely go back again 👍⛳️🍺🍺

Very far from the hotel we stayed in - Ville Gale. Not in great condition - No marshalls on the course and group ahead started late; could not play etc. Lots of better options in Cascais

A smashing golf course with beautifully maintained fairways and greens. Really decent challenge but not so difficult that higher handicaps would feel disadvantaged.

we hadnt played at Belas before. we liked the course and would like to play it again in good weather. it poured with rain all day which was a shame. we were not impressed that we were not given towels to take round with us to wipe the buggy seats as it was so wet. we also didnt think much of there being no lockers for guest use.

Take a buggy!! Some very long walks from Green to tee and a round is approx 8 miles on hilly terrain. Excellent course and tough test. Course has been hewn out of the natural surrounds.

Nice course, 11th to about 16th very different as run through a nature reserve. Elevated par 3 is great for nearest the pin. Some of the fairways had bare patches but it is otherwise a nice course with some interesting holes

Enjoyed this golf club very much. Great layout, second 9 was very pretty and some great holes. Fairways and green in good condition but over watered the fairways which made hitting off the fairways difficult as the grass was churned and created huge divits The club house and facilities were superb and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend

Excellent course created around the natural contours of the land. Would advise a buggy as there are some long walks between some greens and the next hole. Always have a good experience here, they are currently refurbishing the whole clubhouse area, should all be completed in time for next season.

It was a very long way from green to next tee on most holes (with directions very poor). Buggies should really be compulsory/included. Restaurant had minimal outside seating areas. Most disappointing aspect was the condition of the course. Significant bare patches and some poor greens.

The Club House was closing for a big refurbishment the day after we visited which understandably impacted availability of items in the bar and restaurant. The staff were very helpful. The greens were tricky but in excellent condition. Felt like the remainder of the course could do with a little investment to get rid of bare patches etc.

We were unfortunate in that the bar had no draught beer and the restaurant wasn’t open. There was apparently to be a shut down and changes from the next day. The guy on the bar was brilliant fining cold canned lager and some cheese and ham pastries. He also made up some cheese and ham rolls that were very welcome. This is a really tough course and the wind made it tougher. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating but the overall feel of the whole club was cold and negative.

Great location. Greens are rapid! Need a buggy. Need a buggy. Need a buggy! Gaps between some holes must be 180-200yds. Course itself was excellent. Clubhouse (it was Mothers Day!) meant meu of 2 items and at 18:20 finish bar was closed and no food. Staff were ok. Would return though

We always want to play Belas as it's a good test of golf . Like most of the other courses very few golfers on the course so once again a reasonably speedy round . A lot of work has been done to clear the surrounds to probably speed up play . Golf in Portugal will take some time to recover .
