The Championship Course at Tamarina is one to behold and as another one of Mauritius’s top 100 golf courses it is a must play for any golfing fanatic. With all 18 holes set inland from the coast, the course is unique to others on the island and provides golfers with a different challenge. The heavily tree lined fairways mean that accuracy off the tee is crucial or you will be left with nothing more than chip out onto the fairway (at best).

Being away from the coast, does not mean the course is short of water as the River Rampart weaves its way through the championship layout with the course being designed in such a manner that it crosses the fairway at just that awkward distance. Opening in 2002, the Links Course is the perfect accompaniment to the more renowned Legends Course and only adds to the overall incredible quality of the Belle Mare Resort. The par 71 layout has gone from strength to strength since its inauguration as winds its way round the stunning coastline.
