Signature hole: par 4, 4th hole
The par 4, 4th measures in at a tantalising 330 yards meaning that for the longer hitters the green is reachable in 1 and potentially setting up a chance of eagle. However, this classic risk and reward hole is not without danger as the green is very well protected by a large water hazard meaning if your tee shot is not perfect then you will almost certainly be in the drink. The sensible play for this hole would be to hit a long iron off the tee down the right hand side of the fairway leaving you with a short iron into the green taking the water on the left hand side completely out of play.

This course and club was exceptional - we had a fantastic experience and such a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the course, certainly tricky but a great test of golf! My favourite course of the week. Fairways weren't taking much run but fanstastic to play off. Greens were average pace but very firm. Wind was blowing a bit which made playing over the wooded areas very interesting! Lots of slopes and contours all over made shot placement key. Staff excellent. Sadly no flag available to purchase due to supplier issues. Food pricing crazy, but they brought round free apples and bananas. I loved every hole and had a huge smile on my face playing this course. Most enjoyable round I've had in a very long time and looking forward to going back.

An interesting course. Very long off the white tees. Feels a little more American (Texas) in design, wide fairways and big greens. Immaculate condition (fairways were like velvet carpets). The greens are very tricky and on some holes unplayable. Very little grab in the morning, they seem a bit hard. The 15th green was a true experience, could not stop the ball from going 10-20ft past the hole if putting from the front right. Beautiful layout. Definitely worth a round.

Ranked a close 2/4 of the courses we played. We debated between this and La Reserva which we thought was the best. We played in difficult wind conditions which made it tough, but brilliant golf course. Fantastic friendly staff. Would definitely be back for this one.

Played twice during our visit, each time paired up with other golfers which was no problem for us. The conditioning is immaculate and the greens very quick and without blemish. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice touches with complimentary fruit and soup during the round. Food post-round in the club bar/restaurant excellent.

Venue for 2023 Solheim Cup Finca Cortesin was the highlight of our trip and even for seasoned golfers this is the best course and service we've ever had. Not only was the course in great condition with fast smooth greens we were made to feel like professionals from start to finish. Fantastic range with free pyramids of ball, Complimentary water, fresh fruit. GPS on all buggies for scoring and ordering food and then on return at the end of the round clubs taken away and cleaned. Highly recommended.

Great course. Super condition very tricky greens. Quick and perhaps it’s their Bermuda greens that make them deceptively slow uphill. Excellent test of golf, congratulations if you play to your handicap. The entire Team there were fantastic from start to finish and the meal we had in the clubhouse was excellent quality and great value.

The course was very quiet during our stay - so a choice of tee times was available and we were neither pushed from behind or kept waiting. Wonderful practice area, great service from the caddy masters with complimentary fruit, water and even soup on the course! The course was in immaculate condition and the greens very true - and fast! It is a very tough examination of all aspects of your game - but very enjoyable.

The most difficult course I have ever played due to the sloping fairways and greens being extremely fast in gale force winds. Quality is unquestionable but really struggled to justify the cost. The whole place oozes class but not an enjoyable round

The course is obviously outstanding for very good golfers - some of the greens are too hard for average golfers to read & with the wind (often there in Finca) makes the balls move they are that glass like. It is expensive for me as average player & yet it is a stunning course - it is my level of golf that makes the entire experience a challenging one :-)

Excellent course and a very tough challenge. We love the facilities and the staff in particular were fantastic. We enjoy every aspect of the experience on our visits here. The only minor criticism is the hole preparation was disappointing. The plastic insert at the top of the hole was protruding on a few and did effect holing out.

What an experience. The best course I have ever played. EVER. Worth the extra money, this will be the first pick on my next booking.
July and August are the hottest months in the Costa del Sol with the temperatures averaging 26 degrees Celsius. So if you are looking for some golf in the sun, this is the perfect time to visit. With great weather still to be had in the autumn months in Spain it is certainly a destination that is worth considering at any time of the year.
