La Hacienda Links Golf Resort boasts two outstanding championship courses that showcase the true beauty of the Spanish countryside, with an established reputation as one of Andalucia's premier golf clubs. The courses share the same stretch of rolling terrain as the revered layouts at Valderrama Golf Club, San Roque New Golf Club, Sotogrande Golf Club, La Reserva and many more of top golf courses in Spain

The Links is the older of the two golf courses that form part of this 36 hole golf resort. Designed by famed golf commentator Peter Alliss and Clive Clarke, The Links Course offers views of Gibraltar and Africa. The course meanders through mature Spanish countryside, framed perfectly by the Mediterranean sea, to provide a great golf experience on your next golf holiday in Andalucia.

The Heathland is the newer addition. Designed by former Ryder Cup golfer and world-renowned golf architect Dave Thomas, the course provides great playability and is a superb test for all handicaps.

With such an incredible grouping of courses, this region of the Costa del Sol makes for a golf holiday of outstanding quality. Alcaidesa benefits from an amazing location right on the Mediterranean shores, affording spectacular views down the coastline towards the Rock of Gibraltar.

La Hacienda Links

The Links Course has a distinct seaside accent, which is understandable given that it was designed by the British duo of Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and even features gorse bushes and heather. Imagine the joy of playing a Scottish-style links course, but instead of driving rain and wind you can be bathed in the Andalucian sunshine!

Recent development work has improved the overall quality of the Alcaidesa Links, making it even more of a highlight of any golfing tour to the San Roque area.

Signature Hole: Hole 5, Par 5, 467 metres (511 yards), SI 11

The 5th hole on the links is a memorable one, providing the golfer with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean to Gibraltar, and stretching even as far as Morocco.

La Hacienda Heathland

The resort proudly unveiled its second layout, La Hacienda Heathland, in late 2007. Winding its way across the great slopes of the estate, the Heathland is the perfect foil for the Links; it is longer and more challenging for the low handicappers, demanding a good grasp of all the games facets, from accurate driving to a tight short game. In an area that already boasts a number of outstanding courses, the Heathland has squeezed in thanks to the high quality of its design, and makes your trip to Alcaidesa even more memorable.

Alcaidesa is famed for its views down the coastline towards the Rock of Gibraltar - remember your camera!

Signature Hole: Hole 14, Par 3, 185 metres (202 yards), SI 6

The par 3, 14th hole played from an elevated tee, deserves its status as signature hole for its variety of natural landscapes. These include fantastic views over the sea, as well as mountains and valley areas twisting throughout the fairway. This hole is a fantastic showcase of the wonderful surroundings which Dave Thomas was able to use to great effect when intertwining them throughout the course.
