- Bed and Breakfast
- 1 round at Gullane No. 1
- 1 round at Kilspindie Golf Club
Gullane Golf Club was established in 1884 but records of golf being played here go all the way back to the 1600's so nobody is quite sure of who designed the Gullane No.1 Course. Willie Park Jnr. later added two more courses, Gullane No.2 in 1898 and Gullane No.3 in 1910.
The three golf courses at Gullane are fortunate enough to be situated on one of the most fantastic pieces of golfing turf on Scotland's East coast. Situated at the west end of the village of Gullane in East Lothian, approximately 45 minutes from Edinburgh airport, with spectacular views back to Edinburgh and across the Forth to the Kingdom of Fife, the scene is truly idyllic.
Blessed with fantastic links turf golf can be played on the Gullane courses all year round, if you find the fairway then you are almost guaranteed a perfect lie. If you happen to be golfing in the East Lothian area then a round on all three Gullane links is well recommended.

Gullane No. 1 was established in 1884, and is one of the greatest golf courses in Scotland. There are some unforgettable holes here, not least the 7th, whose lofty position affords endless views, and the 3rd, which was recently included in Golf Magazine's Top 500 holes in the world article.
Unusually, for a links course, there are some major elevation changes in the layout requiring a certain amount of uphill and downhill shots. The silky greens, pot-bunkers and knee-high rough make Gullane No. 1 absolutely essential to a golf break in East Lothian. It has also played host to the Scottish Amateur Championship has hosted the Scottish Open twice and held Open Championship Qualifying.

After two brilliant days we were wondering if our luck would last. It did! Another great course in really good nick and friendly, welcoming staff. This one had fabulous views too! We’ve enjoyed tours based around Carnoustie, Gleneagles and St Andrews that were all good but this is the first one where we all agreed that all three courses were excellent.

Really good course in perfect condition. Not sure it quite warrants the price tag when set against some other local courses however.

We played in very strong wind and we didn't know the course. The buggies do not have GPS and there is no map on the score card so it was a bit difficult to know where to go sometimes. Big pity we can't play the white tee even as a pro, I am already happy they didn't ask us to play the ladies tees... Organisation in the shop is a mess with 2 clubhouses... And the starter was useless as he just came out to tell us to play the yellow...

Played No 1 Course and the greens were simply awful. The starter did apologise for the condition of the greens as the start of round but said they were getting better so I’d hate to think how bad they were. It’s not cheap to play at Gullane and although the rest of the course was in good condition it’s hard to look beyond the greens.

We teed off at 10 oclock with a terrible rain and wind. We have asked the caddie master for changing our round with no success. When we complete the round, the weather was nice and nobody start a round.Obiously, the caddy master should have offered us to play later with a good weather. When we come back, there are no towels to take a hot shower.
