Royal Musselburgh Golf Club is the starting point for East Lothian's fabled stretch of top class links golf and is a renowned and venerable golfing institution. During the clubs first 150 years, golf was played over the Old Course at Musselburgh, it was not until 1924 that today's course was inaugurated.
The new layout was designed by James Braid with help from Frederick Hawtree, they inserted the 18 holes on a scenic stretch of elevated parkland overlooking the Firth of Forth near Prestonpans.

Like a miniature version of Dalmahoy east course but not as difficult, nice features but the greens and bunkers were hard going, the worst of the 3 courses we played on this trip
