The course itself loops out to the east, where it borders Lundin Golf Club at Mile Dyke, and poses some tough questions, particularly after the 13th hole when players must turn and head for home, battling against the prevailing wind.

This quality has resulted in Leven repeatedly having the honour of hosting Open Championship qualifying when the prestigious tournament is played at nearby St Andrews.
This is a historic golf course, and is well worth visiting on the pilgrimage to St Andrews.
Beware of Scoonie Burn, which guards the green at the home hole.

Interesting to have two club houses and one professional shop for booking in. The course was a pleasure to play. Challenging layout and a great introduction to links golf.

Very nice round and as always friendly service. The difficulty was lots of blind shots over small hills. No range, but nets to hit in en very good putting/chipping facilities. 2 club houses to choose from

Our second course was a bit of a let down. The fairways were very bare and we played preferred lies. The pro was very helpful when we checked in.It can be misleading around the 5th hole/6th tee as you go very easy"stray" onto the Lundin course.
