A good hotel with everything you need for a golf weekend. Good location and would recommend.

Perfect for our group with good facilities.

Comfortable stay. Pleasant reception staff and breakfast staff. Bar staff didn’t look like wanted to be there! Rooms a little tired now but served their purpose. Great location. Good breakfast choice. Dinner was decent.

The hotel is practical for golf trips. It has a motel feel, half way between Quinta and Vale Do Lobo

5 Stars – A Fantastic Stay at The Magnolia Hotel I stayed at The Magnolia Hotel in Quinta do Lago with two friends from Monday to Friday, and we each had our own separate rooms. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate, well air-conditioned, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Daily cleaning was available as often as you wanted, and the fridge in each room was a nice touch for keeping drinks cold. The location is spot on—peaceful, yet close to all the action in Quinta do Lago. There’s loads of parking, which made things easy, and the facilities inside the hotel are top notch. The gym is fully equipped and air-conditioned, the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were all great, and although we didn’t use it, there’s even a games/playroom. Food was excellent and the outdoor bar area deserves a special mention—the bar staff there were fantastic and really added to the laid-back, friendly atmosphere. If I had to give any suggestions for improvement, I’d say that events like movie nights or poolside barbecues weren’t very well advertised—it would’ve been great to know more about what was happening on-site. Also, having slippers in the room and a few more clothes hangers would have been helpful. Overall though, I had a brilliant time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Magnolia Hotel. I’d definitely stay there again!

Perfect for a short golf trip.

Four adults stayed in one of the bungalows and they were clean and comfortable. The only issue was that when it rained heavily both the patio doors leaked and rainwater made its way into the bedroom floor and the living room floor. This was commented to Reception. Breakfast was more than adequate and the service from the staff was very good. We had no issues with ordering taxis from the hotel. Overall, the hotel was fit for our purpose.

This hotel is idea for golfers or anyone on a sports trip. The gym is a good size with plenty of equipment. There is jacuzzi and sauna. The pool is heated and a good size. There is a billiards table and a games room in the basement with table football and table tennis. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a good choice of cereals, fruit and cooked food. The rooms are a bit small. But everything is clean and works.

Fantastic little hotel. Staff incredibly friendly and went the extra mile each day we were there. Clean and comfortable rooms with great showers. Good sized gym and pool. Great breakfast. Will be recommending and look forward to staying there again.

Staff were outstanding. Would have a full 5 star review but bathroom needed some TLC. Perhaps as it was start of low season and presumably when maintenance is carried out!

Great property, 5-10 mins from Laranjal, and North and South courses. Fantastic staff who are always willing to help. Definitley a popular place for golfers who were there in abundance. Chalet/Cottage perfect for 2-3 people. Good facilities (Gym, Sauna, Pool etc)

Super hotel, near to the core golf action at QdL. Really helpful and friendly staff make it a joy to stay here. Nice selection of food and drinks too, along with a cracking gym, sauna, jacuzzi and pool made for a great stay.

We've had a great stay at the Magnolia hotel. Good food, good facilities, great staff. Only downside is that you need transfer/Uber to get to main Quinta Do Lago complex.

Very dissatisfied with location. No where safe to walk too. A very tired garden / grounds Uneven and high risk walk to “cottages” No lighting when walking to hotel for early morning tee time Big risk factor . Very poor landscaping around cottages . Very poor privacy when walking past hotel apartments ,

Hotel in an ideal location for courses and a short walk to the local bars

Very comfortable room, with space to sort out clubs! Breakfast was excellent (except coffee took some time). Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location meant we really needed taxis to go anywhere, but all course transfers were on time and a very good local firm was found for restaurant transfers in the evenings.

The location is good for access to the resort but is on a busy main road with no real footpath so is difficult to walk anywhere. The staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good with a choice of buffet or cooked to order. The rooms are very basic. We had a Plus room but it was very small, very dark and little in the way of storage a small wardrobe and 3 drawers. Bathroom was ok for size but not great quality. It was however very clean except for one day when the room service was inexplicably overlooked.

Small but fairly comfortable, but sparse. No kettle or drink making facilities in the room, the wardrobe door kept sticking as too narrow. The staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu rather limited.

A great hotel for the price. It's not the Conrad but then it's not their price!! The hotel was perfectly adequate for a golfer's needs and the staff were some of the friendliest and efficient that we've ever encountered. Not a lot to do in the area if you were to take your partner/family other than the very "boutique" shopping centre nearby but the hotel had a nice pool, gym, steam and sauna rooms as well as a small cinema room. The food in particular breakfast was very good. All in all we couldn't fault the hotel. There are of course a plethora of extremely good high end restaurants in the area and the very well supplied Uber network in the area is definitely the way to get around rather than paying for rather more expensive transfers to and from the courses. More than enough room in an UBER-XL for two golfers and their kit.

Loved this hotel. We will be going back next year. The staff were outstanding and helpful. The food was top class.

perfect from all the staff just was disappointed to pay €28 euros for taxi one way to la merina and €28 euros back when local taxi cost €16 couldn't work that out and if you could make a golf sim there it would be so beneficial to the hotel as everyone would warm up or when you have a rest day can play any course but from the hotel and food and drinks making more money, other than that excellent from the staff and cleanliness overall was lovely stay

Lovely breakfast and comfortable bed. Room too small for keeping golf clubs in. And because it rained we needed to take golf clubs back to room to dry them. Not even a towel rail to dry clothes so very difficult. Location meant unable to walk to shops or restaurants. One restaurant quite close but have to walk along a busy road with no path so literally walking along road sidestepping lorries.

We have stayed at the Magnolia for 3 or 4 years now and we have really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are second to non and always on hands to help us with any queries or taxis that may be required. We will be back next year.

Hotel was fine for a short golfing break as we spent very little time there. Breakfast was good. Room a bit basic and no outlook. Staff were polite.

staff extremely friendly and efficient with a can do attitude . Power shower in the room was one of the best i have come across. Location requires a taxi to travel out .

Very clean, friendly staff and location only short walk to pubs restaurants.

Despite all assurances given in the UK the Hotel has very small rooms,there is no space to walk in the room with all golf baggage. No transfers to the courses had been arranged and they are all quite far away from the hotel. It is in no ones land between QDL and VDL. We were very much left on our own to sort out our concerns despite many calls to YGT.

Staff are great. Hotel is immaculately clean. Food in the restaurant lovely and ample selection for breakfast. Biggest downside were the room sizes. Even standard plus was poor. Almost no storage space and minimal hanging storage. No dressing table with drawers for cosmetics, toiletries or medication. A big disappointment.

We were greeted by Tiego (the manager) when we arrived and when we left, which was a great personal touch. The staff, breakfast, rooms etc.were excellent. They could not do enough for us, fantastic trip and stay, would highly recommend staying at the Magnolia.

We have been coming here for several years the hotel is great and most of the staff are superb unfortunately not all the staff went on the "be happy to customers course"

The Magnolia is a relaxed, well-designed small hotel with attractive public spaces and comfortable rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. My only reservation is that the bathroom is cramped and the closet is less than roomy.

Our second time at the magnolia. This is a great hotel but the upstairs rooms are not blessed with a big bathroom . I cannot fault the hotel we will be back.

Overall a very positive stay. The rooms are nicely done but probably most comfortable for single occupancy. The rooms don’t have a mini bar or tea/coffee making facilities. All very clean and modern. The breakfasts were really good and we had the biggest club sandwich ever in the bar one evening. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. Decent location between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. Overall vibe is neon American motel but with genuine friendly service. Will come again.

A fantastic boutique hotel between Vale Do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. The hotel is immaculate with excellent facilities, food and drink - ideal location for getting out and about.

This hotel would not be out of place on a Miami strip- neon lighting, pastel colouring and the motel style room blocks. It is all very on trend and comfortable, it is relaxing, yet efficient. The staff are amazing. Breakfasts are extremely good, good quality food , fresh hot provision , good coffee. Although they offer a restaurant in the evening, we didn't use it as it's the same as breakfast and just doesn't compete for atmosphere as a true eatery can. The rooms are small but it's a super king very comfortable bed or same as twins. Modern flat screen tv with all the provision of news and sports channels so good. Worst aspect is the bathroom, to small almost for one but the showers are good. This is a good place for golfers for 3/4 nights but I wouldn't come here just for a holiday. Incidentally, during our stay the ladies danish football team were staying and completely took over the gym, spa and cinema area so we had no access to these facilities.
