Breakfast was the worst of any hotel that we have all stayed at

Room was Large & very clean. Lots of English channels on the TV.

Great location on seafront close to bars and restaurants. Half board option offers very good breakfast choices and even better evening buffet. Rooms are very modern, clean and spacious.

Very smart and modern hotel you can see it’s gone through a refurb as everything seemed brand new. Prices at the bar were very good Also. Great location to walk to beach across the road and the bars and restaurants very close by

Convenient location in central Fuengerola

The hotel is perfect for groups of golfers, great outside area for your days off or a drink after your day on the course. Location is perfect, lots of bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk , restaurant in the hotel is well stocked for breakfast very clean and a nice way to start the morning, we upgraded to a suite to give ourselves a little more room well worth doing as they are located at the front of the hotel with a sea view , 2 big beds walk in rain shower fridge, safe although you do have to pay gor that , overall fantastic hotel for our trip

Third year in a row we have stayed at the Occidental. It offers everything our group of 11 require. Comfortable with good bars, rooms and decent breakfast.. never had an issue staying there

Hotel fantastic staff very helpful fee members went out day early let them check in and held the room for remaining trip. Staff very friendly when needed breakfast plenty a choice to eat from staff again very helpful fee members purchased dinner one evening and very impressed.. plenty of seating area for a group of 26 to meet up.. Rooms spot on in general very clean and well looked after hotel.. although used for golf trip I would holiday with family without doubt..

Nice rooms, smart, clean and friendly staff.

Located on edge of the strip where everything was 15-30 minute walk, this was a very clean and tidy hotel. The pool was a good size although there were limited sun beds (I'd guess maybe 100). The rooms were serviced every day, breakfast was good with plenty of selection. Would I stay here again, yes definitely.

We were very pleased with the Occidental for the second year running. It is a definate 4 star hotel and ideally placed for the restaurant and bars.

Hotel is in a fantastic position for the beach,bars and restaurants. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is great lots of choice, with a lovely outdoor section but tables are limited. Overall a great hotel will definitely use again in the future.

Great hotel with great helpful staff

Generally a relaxing break at this hotel. Pool area lovely, rooms clean, quiet and comfortable. One annoying fact was the amount of swearing in the hotel from large groups of men....golfers and stag nights.

Would thoroughly recommend it for golfers very accommodating easy to catch a taxi and just on the seafront with loads of bars and restaurants overall excellent value excellent service

Hotel was great, however the breakfast could be better, but acceptable. My only issue was the short measures on the pints. Once the pint glasses run out, they serve your beer in a glass which is only 2/3 of a pint, but charge you the full asking price of a pint.

Nice hotel and bar prices not extortionate, pool area nice but cold in April. Group was pleased with facilities

Hotel was first class. Rooms were spotless.

Hotel: Location of the hotel was great! Walking distance to almost everything you would need. The breakfast was great, lots to choose from and delicious. The downside, the aircon in our room wasn’t working, the fridge wasn’t working properly and we had to call for help to get it fixed. The door scan had a flat battery and I had to go downstairs to get it fixed, which was annoying. To be honest I was disappointed with all the faulty elements of the room. And also not happy there wasn’t a kettle, teabags for tea like I have seen in most 4/5 stars hotels I’ve been too. Bathroom was nice, liked the 4 minute Spotify list idea. Oh and the internet was terrible.

Beautiful hotel we were allocated junior suites very comfortable beds and pillows complimentary mini bar . We only went with breakfast option but were not disappointed fantastic buffet with fresh cooked eggs of choice great continental option also. Hotel was only 50 yards from board walks super location

Great hotel, would definitely return and would highly recommend to anyone else

An excellent choice if you're looking to mix & match having brilliant golf courses a short drive away and having good bars & restaurants with a semi-lively town nearby. Solid breakfast, a good pool, on the doorstep of the beach, however by the end we were driven nuts by the slow lifts.

Really pleased with everything about the hotel, the only thing I would say is that it’s situated in a quieter area so for those wanting somewhere more lively it’s not ideal.

Clean tidy everything you would expect. Good selection at breakfast. Rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided. Would stay here again.

Lovey hotel, great breakfast , we didn’t eat here except for breakfast, little bit slow serving at the bar but wouldn’t definitely stay again

We really enjoyed our stay here. The overall standard was great. I had to contact a doctor while away and Virginia on reception was fantastic. So helpful. The only criticism was service at the bars. In the hotel they often wanted to take drinks orders from your table which was far too slow. Outside bar was too busy at times so service was slow. However the breakfast, rooms, and location were great

Great hotel, right on the beach front! Nice, clean and modern hotel, ideally suited for golfers. Took only a few minutes to reach the motorway to get to the courses which was great. Good resultant with loads of breakfast options.

Hotel was fine for 4 guys on a golf trip. No air con which I haven't experienced since the 1990's - they don't turn it on until May 1st!! Rooms therefore very hot. Bar was good, outside bar good but only open once in the 4 days. They charge for a safe and again for a kettle?? Wouldn't chose to stay again.

The hotel was great,very vlean good food in the breakfast buffet bars were ok especially the outside bar the rooms were very comfy i upgraded to a sea view suit gor 149 pounds for the 5 nights well worth it ,hotel is right on the beach and in the centre of the lively resort brilliant for a group of 16 lads

All good, coffee making facility in the room and a bottle of water would have been a great addition.

A high quality hotel in an excellent position on the beachfront in Fuengirola. 4 of us stayed for 3 nights.The rooms were very good indeed, breakfast was fantastic .We ate their buffet dinner once and it was good.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful

The hotel was very nice. Very clean. Drinks were not to overpriced for a hotel. Location spot on. Only complaint was pool didn’t open till 10 - 10:30. So if your a golfer. No chance off a nice swim before golf.

Overall a very good experience. Room upgrade was unexpected but welcome. Clean and roomy for one person in a double room. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast plentiful but nothing special - what we expected for the hotel.

Hotel was modern, clean and friendly with plenty of seating in the restaurant, bar & pool areas. Breakfast had lots of good options. Rooms were excellent which were cleaned everyday. The big pool wasn't open(it was the end of March) and we were there to play golf not swim, however it would have been nice to have a dip after our golf.

Lovely modern, spacious hotel.Very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful when required.Rooms again were very clean, excellent shower room. All 4 of us loved the breakfasts, great range of foods to match any tastes, coffee from the machine was super.Unlike that on the plane.

Hotel in good location, not far from bars, restaurants and the beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfasts choice was huge and food to a good standard. Pool area spacious and plenty of chairs and loungers.

Perfect hotel for the trip we had planned and was close to all restaurants and bars. The only reason I gave 4 stars for location was the difficulty that the private transport for the golf for 10 of us was tricky. The van with a trailer for bags could not pull up outside the hotel and had to block a narrow road 50 meters away for us to board.

We had stayed at this hotel before it was reformed. It has moved into the modern era and is a great place to stay. Very friendly staff very clean and excellent facilities

Been golfing in Costa Del Sol for over twenty years, this is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in.

Great for Golfers

This is the first time we have stayed at this Hotel, as we have used the "God's waiting room" further down the road, for the previous 5 years. Everything very good from start to finish. 8 of us stayed on a B&B basis as the base for our golf trip. Even though we turned up a lot earlier than normal, they made sure we had one room ready and we used this until we were all sorted with our rooms. Breakfast was very good, with a superb choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only "gripe" if I must, is the fact that you have to pay to have the tea/coffee making facilities in your room, when this is usually included. We will be staying here again next year.

Excellent hotel. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor WiFi and water temperature consistence.

The hotel has clean and comfortable if rather spare rooms. The breakfast is good. We did not eat dinner there. It is near the coast path and has easy access to the rest of the town's amenities.

Delighted with this hotel such a big improvement on last year it provided everything that we wanted

Value for money sums this one up, we were transferred here at last minute as our original Hotel choice cancelled us one week before flying; rooms were spotless recently renovated, the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, the food was ordinary but ok, little old fashioned in the communal areas and a little further south than we would have chosen, but don't be put off, it was fine.

Hotel was clean and well kept,staff were polite and happy to help you if you had a problem.The food was nice and varied ,the bar well stocked and staff were again polite, the hotel is in a prime location wright on the beach, good value for money.

For the length of time that we were in the Hotel it was adequate and for "older" golfers nice and quiet, some of the staff maybe needed to go on a customer liason course and they could certainly do with hiring new cleaners !!

The room in this hotel was awful. We had dirty linen on our beds, no fridge (our friends did , we asked for one and never got it) we also asked for towels as the ones we had had holes in. We had 4 light bulbs out on our arrival, this was done. The breakfast wasn’t great either. Cold coffee out of the machines and flies on all of the food as it wasn’t covered. Not quite sure why you would put your guests in this hotel. It hasn’t had a refurbishment since the 70s. We would never stay here again.
