Village Hotel Swansea

It was fine no issue but thought the food was expensive for what it was

For the price it was excellent, great staff and food and bed very comfortable

The hotel is well situated and was ideal for our party of 12 with 6 twin rooms. The rooms have everything you need but are pretty basic. The hotel was quite lively with a good bar showing live sport serving good pub grub. The gymnasium and swimming pool were a good facility and breakfasts were good as well. The only complaint was being woken at 6.00am by HIT class music on our first morning - it didn’t happen again after I spoke to the Manager who apologized profusely and offered complementary Starbucks for all of our party!

Room was basic & air conditioning didn’t work so it was very hot. Location is convenient. Breakfast was included & was good.

You need to update your photo on your sites,hotel looks a lot different now. Had a problem on arrival in our room,only set up for a single occupancy and toilet seat broken(this was sorted by staff eventually)

Great location and all clean and tidy

The hotel is ok, it’s functional and does a job for a short golf break where, frankly, the accommodation is secondary to the principal reason for the visit. It can get noisy - huge argument between guests at 3am on our first night, for example, but I guess that is not the hotel’s fault.. Cleanliness at breakfast not great - had to choose our plates carefully for the buffet breakfast as most were dirty on Sunday morning.

Have to say this was the most disappointing hotel we've stayed at in many years of using YGT. The hotel is in a very handy location for the marina and centre of Swansea and it's rooms are clean and comfortable, however the staff are all very young and several lacked social and customer service skills. The breakfast was average at best, the bar has to be the worst I've ever seen in a hotel - no beer available at all (just lager) and not even Guiness. They also couldn't provide any decent whiskey and the staff we're completely incapable of providing a cup of coffee that was anything above lukewarm. Thanks fully there are plenty of bars (Beer Riff is excellent) and restaurants close by where you could get a pint of beer and decent food. Overall - not a hotel I'll be rushing back too.

Had everything we needed. Bar is quite expensive and breakfast was very poor.

The rooms were what you would expect and ok. The breakfast was poor and my party went down the road and paid for breakfast at the Premier inn, where we were told they have quite a few people from the Village Hotel visit for the same reasons. Other than that it was fine

Good location for access to the motorway, as well as quality restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were well equipped, but showing signs of wear and tear. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was a range of good choices both cooked and cold, plenty of hot and cold drinks.

ADEQUATE BUT THE BREAKFAST WAS AWFUL STALE BREAD NO FRIED AGGS NO BEANS NO COFFEE NO CROISSANTS TOASTER DIDNT WORK gENERAL LACK OF STAFF IN HOTEL.GETTING A BEER WAS A FARCE

Good location on the edge of the city centre. Friendly staff, nice sports bar, good breakfast. Decor a little tired but overall good value

Good location and car parking, easy walking into Swansea Central. Reasonable bar...but TV not working and electrics in room were making a fizzing sound and lights flickered - both of which couldn't been resolved during our stay, but we didn't get electrocuted, thank goodness. Also, we had two double rooms, instead of a twin and double - weird!

Fairly basic but adequate for our needs

Good quality chain hotel - you know what you are getting; minor issue at check in, very quickly resolved. Clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Excellent .location within an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre.

Nice chain hotel you know what your gonna get good location not far from town centre. Only downside was you had to pay for parking

Overall a good experience . Close to other restaurants , good location re travel to golf courses , very comfortable room and quiet.

All good for a golf trip. A great base.
