San Roque Golf & Resort

Poor man's version of San Roque. Would have loved to have tried the Old Course. Much better courses out there than New Course....they should call it the forgotten course..Seve's par 3 was a highlight though

Greens were not great and general condition of the course was significantly different to others in the area.

The new. Course was unplayable and should not be open as the greens are a disgrace.

Obviously in comparison with the old course in was somewhat lacking in terms of condion,however the actual layout of the holes was outstanding.

Stunning and challenging course, service was great

The course was nice although a bit tired. The biggies were great and well equipped.

This course is all about the design. Undulating fairways, very tricky Greens, many bunkers - a real challenge to 2 putt! The Pro Shop said the New Course was hilly (and the buggies 50 Euro) but they obviously hadn't played Los Arqueros! The course did not seem to have seen much water but the Greens and Tees were fine. There were 6 Tee positions on offer. The Greens were the fastest I have seen for some time and reading them was a nightmare - want to feel like you've played Augusta, well this does it quite well. The whole set up looks very impressive, as is the Green Fee for the Old Course which we couldn't touch. Massive Academy here. We had a lucky day following a slow (!) 4 ball so had a very pleasant round. Again YGT was recognised immediately at the Pro Shop. Nice day and worth the longer trip to get here.

You don’t have six stars as a choice for everything, if you did I would tick every box , from the greeting we got right to us leaving was beyond what you would expect,

Look forward to playing the revamped old course next time.

Very heavy rain prior to visit. Excellent condition bearing this in mind. The facilities here are excellent and 2 wonderful courses at reasonable prices.

Technical course quite narrow off the tees. Very fast greens. Much preferred the Old Course.

The fairways are narrow and Tree lined with bunkers and waste areas everywhere.The course is not in good condition and needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to scratch.The staff were very helpful taking our clubs to and from our transport but would not play it again

Was not in good conditions if you compare with other courses this was very bad shape

Fairways in poor condition with preferred lies in operation. The New Course does not get the same level of presentation as the Old Course. Would not return here.

A very nice course with some interesting holes. In good condition.

I was, and still am, a big fan of the late Seve Ballesteros and have had the pleasure of playing one of his designed courses before (Royol Obidos in Portugal), so I was really looking forward to playing this Seve Co-designed course at San Roque and I was not disappointed, it was great. I should also mention that the Caddy Master was really "on the ball" and very helpful, when realising that there was going the be a bit of a back log on the first tee, he arranged for my wife and I to start at the tenth and personally escorted us to it. All the staff in the shop and club house were very nice and it was a pleasure to be there. If there is only one down side is that a buggy for the round (which was obligatory) cost 45 Euros which being half Scottish I thought was a bit steep.
