Originally designed by internationally recognised golf architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, the course at Adare Manor was given a major update by Tom Fazio in 2017.

Tom has designed a course where each hole boasts distinct character and unique playability, creating a complete golf experience to satisfy all levels of golfer, whether they play from the forward or back tees.

The scene of Europe's stunning victory in The 2018 Ryder Cup, Le Golf National is regarded as one of the toughest golf courses to have ever hosted golf's greatest team event. With water in play on numerous holes, the Albatros Course is one that requires excellent course management and accuracy off the tee for any chance of playing to your handicap.

Having been catapulted onto the golfing scene following the 1991 Ryder Cup dubbed the ‘War on the Shore’, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island has gone onto host all four of the PGA of America’s major tournaments and is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated courses in America.

The stunning ocean views that golfers are treated to throughout their round are the perfect accompaniment to the incredible Pete Dye designed golf course which is setup in a way that will test every facet of even the best golfer’s game. The wipsy rough gives the course the feel of some of the great UK links courses but with a twist. There's a reason golf's biggest tournament has returned to The Belfry three times after impressing for the first time in 1985. The incredible Brabazon course is littered with iconic holes which make 18 holes here exciting, challenging and somewhat daunting.

So many magical memories have been created here and some of the most famous Ryder Cup moments reside on the turf at The Belfry, none less than Christy O’Connor's 2 iron onto the 18th back in 1989 or Nick Faldo's ace on the par-3 14th.

In 1951 and before Great Britain teamed up with the rest of Europe to take on the dominant Team USA, the Ryder Cup was held at the famous Pinehurst Resort. Such as the times, Sam Snead led the US to a overwhelming victory with GB only picking up 2 and a half points.

The No 2 course at Pinehurst has since hosted three US Opens and is considered as the toughest to have ever done so. The course tests even the most elite golfers and will have you relishing the prospect of taking on the layout where so many pros have played.

Having been built for the 2010 showdown between Europe and America, the former were led by Colin Montgomerie, who already felt at home at Celtic Manor. The aptly named Twenty Ten course didn’t disappoint and it was on the 18th green where Graeme McDowell secured a home victory.

For those looking to test themselves on the same course as greats of the game, remember that after going two down with two pars, Tiger Woods then birdied 10 of his next 12 holes to take the win on the 15th.

"The Twenty Ten Course is a different beast to the other courses at Celtic Manor. Water is the obvious hazard and will catch you out on more than half of the holes."

Originally designed by Tom Fazio, the course has been more recently reworked by golf’s most celebrated player - Jack Nicklaus. Featuring some of the most daunting closing holes on the PGA Tour, the so called ‘Bear Trap’ has ruined the round of the many of the game’s greats.

PGA National like it’s refurbisher, is one of the most acclaimed courses in the States having hosted both the Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship - to this day it also hosts the annual Honda Classic which in recent years has been won by Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler and Adam Scott.

At the second ever Ryder Cup hosted in Scotland, Paul McGinley led Europe to yet another victory at Gleneagles. It was contested on the incredible PGA Centenary course which is widely considered as one of Jack Nicklaus’ best designs.

The hallowed turf where the Golden Bear worked his magic features a magical inland course which set up for yet another dramatic final day for the Ryder Cup which saw rookie Jamie Donaldson clinch the victory.

The simply mesmerising landscape on which the Straits course at Whistling Straits was crafted will make for a truly memorable Ryder Cup in 2021.

Having hosted the PGA Championship on three occasions, most recently in 2015 where Jason Day won his maiden major, the venue is more than capable of creating iconic Ryder Cup memories with huge crowd potential and some of the most dramatic holes in golf.

Became Ireland's first Ryder Cup venue when it hosted the event in 2006 and has improved with age. The stadium-style resort course measures over 7,300 yards from the tips, many commentators have described it as the most difficult inland layout in the country as well as one of the best around Dublin.

Arnold Palmer succeeded in working with the existing mature trees and water features to create a magnificent test for golfers of all standards.

Having hosted the 2002 and 2009 US Open - the Bethpage Black Course is no stranger to big tournaments. In 2025, major competition returns to this glorious New York golf course as the best players from Europe and America will compete for the coveted Ryder Cup.

The are very few courses in Europe with a golfing portfolio like that of Valderama. The course itself was designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr. who is arguably one of the best golf course architects there has ever been and as a result of his genius it has been a host of both the prestigious Spanish Masters and the 1997 Ryder Cup.

Set in land from the coast, the course winds its way through trees and lakes to test both a golfer’s physical capabilities but also their tactical nouse.

Despite being one of the more difficult courses in the Costa Del Sol, there are a variety of different tees which make the course accessible for golfers of all skill levels.

Another one for the future; Marco Simone will host the first Ryder Cup in Italy when it comes around in 2023. The beautiful venue is immaculately maintained and is set between simply stunning lakes in central Italy.

The pedigree of Royal Birkdale Golf Club is beyond doubt, having hosted The Open 9 times, the Ryder Cup twice and a multitude of other championships including the Walker Cup and Women's British Open.

Ranked 15th in Golf Digest's 'World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses 2018' the magnificence of Royal Birkdale cannot be overstated, arguably the crown jewel of English golf, this course should be on every golfer's bucket list.

Much like Sunningdale, Walton Heath boasts a world-class 36 holes of golf, however, the Old Course is clearly the headline act. This storied track played host the 1981 Ryder Cup, a disaster for the European team, but cemented the Old Course as one of the elite course in England.

Anyone in London should play the Old Course, as it is rare to find such calibre of course inside the M25.
