Golf's premier team tournament has been played over some of the world's best golf courses. Well, perhaps not world given that it is between the USA and Europe but eitherway these courses are regular features within the world's best golf courses.
The UK and Ireland has hosted The Ryder Cup numerous times. The Belfry near Birmingham has been the host 4 times, whilst in recent times top golf resorts Gleneagles, The Celtic Manor and The K Club have all held the event. Other courses including Wentworth, Southport and Ainsdale, Royal Birkdale, Walton Heath and Muirfield have all hosted the tournament. In more recent times golf courses have been specifically designed with The Ryder Cup in mind, creating risk and reward holes to provide an exciting finish to the matches.
Marco Simone in Rome will be the host in 2023, after that The Ryder Cup heads to Bethpage Black near New York and then Adare Manor in 2027. This will be the first time that any of these golf courses have hosted this team event and are already making changes to create a memorable 3 days tournament between Europe and The USA.
